After 13 hours of travelling we successfully managed our way to Canada :) We first travelled to Dusseldorf on an Air Malta flight followed by a 1hr transit at the airport. When we disembarked the Air Malta plane we headed straight away to our next departure gate. After finding the gate and spending around 10 minutes there talking about everything and everyone, we heard one of the Lufthansa stewards calling a final call for Mr. Ian Fenecccc and Mr. Emanuel Greccccc to proceed to the departure gate. No.....we weren't in the wrong gate but we didn't know we had to inform the stewards at the gate that we had arrived. Nevertheless we managed boarding in time and found an amazing Lufthansa plane with personalised TV screens with pillows and blankets waiting for us on our seats. Lufthansa staff was excellent and there service throughout the whole flight was exceptional.
During this 8hr flight to Toronto, we made the acquaintance of a 74 year old women who's name is Susanna Konyen. She was born in Romania but moved to Germany during World War 2 with her husband. To our amazement this lady was on her 37th trans-atlantic flight to meet her friends/relatives. The more we talked with her the more we laughed and laughed. She has a boyfriend and repeated several times that there is no age for love. She also told us that she wants to live up to 104 yrs just like her father did. Finally just before landing when we thought all was over, from her handbag she took out a big windscreen type sun glasses which she wore followed by the peace sign. At this point we couldn't help but laughing and laughing. She definitely made our journey memorable :) Cu on our return flight Susanna: P
